Our story

Independent cafés deserve technology that actually works for them.

Built in Brisbane. Built to side with independents. Built so the cafés that make our cities worth living in stop losing to algorithms and chains.

My Cuppa Coffee started with a simple observation: the cafés that make a neighbourhood worth living in are run by people who pour everything into them. The same cafés are increasingly squeezed by chains with marketing budgets they can't match, by review platforms that flatten every café into the same five-star average, and by loyalty schemes that ask their customers to download yet another app.

The chains have armies of analysts, customer data warehouses, and personalisation engines. The independents have a clipboard and gut feel.

That asymmetry is what we're fixing.

What we're building

We give independent cafés the customer data tools the chains have built internally. Personality-driven discovery, so the right people find them. A universal loyalty card, so customers don't have to download another app. Real analytics, so owners can see what's actually working.

For the people who drink the coffee, the experience is simple. You take a quick quiz. You get a coffee personality. You find the cafés that fit you, in your suburb, with one card that works at all of them.

Where we are honestly

We are launching. There is no million-user count to brag about. The first cafés on the platform are deciding whether to bet on us, and we're earning their stay every day. If you join now, you're not joining a finished product, you're joining the founding moment of one. That's the offer.

Brisbane first. Sydney, Melbourne, and the rest of Australia next. Then international, but only as fast as we can do it well.

Who I am

My name is Laetitia. I moved to Brisbane from Berlin. My parents are French.

I started learning about coffee out of curiosity, and got hooked on how it's grown, traded, and roasted. The more I learned, the more I cared about the people pouring it.

When I was working freelance, I was lonely. Family in Europe, me here. The right café could fix half a working day. But I never knew which one. When friends visited, I kept taking them to the same handful of places I trusted. They'd leave a bit disappointed. So would I.

Last year I worked for a motel group. I saw what happens behind the scenes when a small operator has to manage Google Business, TripAdvisor, Expedia, Booking, Last Minute, and a dozen others. None of those platforms are interested in the customer. They're interested in the bill.

That's why I built My Cuppa Coffee. Not another listings site. Not another loyalty app. Something that gets to know the person ordering the coffee and the people behind the counter, and connects them on what actually matters. How you each show up. What you each value. Which kind of café feels like home.

If you run an independent café in Brisbane, we should talk. If you drink coffee here, take the quiz. Either way, thanks for reading this far.
