Onboarding checklist for new cafés
A step-by-step checklist for getting your café set up on MCC.
Once your café is accepted onto My Cuppa Coffee, here’s the full setup, in order.
Step 1. Verify your business. We’ll send a verification link to the email associated with your application. Confirm you’re the authorised owner or manager. This unlocks editing on your café listing.
Step 2. Build out your listing. Inside your dashboard, complete: business name, ABN, address, phone, website, hours, menu summary, and amenities. Take ten minutes to upload at least four good photos: exterior, interior, your espresso machine, and at least one of your signature drinks or food.
Step 3. Write your café story. A short description in your own voice, no more than 200 words. What you serve, who you serve, what makes the place yours. This is what Cuppa Lovers read first when they land on your profile.
Step 4. Set up your loyalty programme. From the dashboard, choose how many stamps a customer needs to earn a reward, what the reward is (a free coffee, a discount, a free pastry, your call), and any conditions. Most cafés land on 9 stamps for one free coffee. You can adjust later.
Step 5. Print your QR code. Inside the dashboard, you can download a printable QR code or order tabletop materials we’ll post to you (free for founding members). Place it somewhere visible on your counter.
Step 6. Run your onboarding call. Founding members get a free 30-minute onboarding call directly with the founder. We walk through analytics, campaigns, and any questions about getting the most out of the platform.
Step 7. Tell your customers. Mention MCC at the counter. Post on your social. Hand out the QR. The first 50 stamps tend to come faster than people expect.
If anything is unclear, get in touch. The team is small and replies fast.
