Saving favourite cafés
How to save cafés to your favourites list, how the list helps you, and how to organise your regulars.
Favourites are how you keep track of the cafés that are already part of your routine, plus the ones you’ve earmarked to try.
How to save a café
On any café’s profile page, tap the heart icon at the top right. It fills in. The café is now on your favourites list.
You can save as many cafés as you like. There’s no cap, and saving doesn’t share anything publicly.
Where favourites live
Open your profile and tap the Favourites tab. You’ll see every café you’ve saved, sorted by most recently saved first. You can also re-sort by:
- Match score (highest first)
- Distance (nearest first)
- Stamps (cafés where you’re closest to the next reward, first)
- Last visit (most recent first)
Lists
For Cuppa Lovers who want to organise further, you can create lists. Lists are useful for things like “Weekend brunch”, “Working from a café”, “When friends visit”, “Closest to the gym”. Each list can contain any number of cafés, and a café can be in multiple lists.
To create a list, open Favourites and tap “New list”. Add cafés directly from any café page by selecting which list to add to.
Why this matters
Most people end up rotating between five or six cafés they actually like. Favourites makes that rotation visible and frictionless: you can pull up your “weekday morning” list while standing on your street and pick the closest open one in two taps. It also means when a friend visits and asks where to get a good flat white, you’ve got an answer without scrolling through Google reviews.
Visibility
Your favourites and lists are private by default. Cafés don’t see who’s favourited them; we don’t show your favourites list to other users.
